SSCITT for Primary Schools -
“Training high quality graduates to become high quality teachers”
Why train with us?
Teach Northants is based in Northampton and current partnership consists of a variety of 12 primary schools and 4 secondary schools across Northamptonshire.
Our key aim is to work with other schools in a collaborative way to provide effective initial teacher training across the primary age range. We are able to provide training routes in a range of primary schools alongside professional development sessions which explore the essentials of excellent classroom practice. Trainees will be provided with a personalised in-school mentor to support and guide them through successful completion of the QTS course, as well as a visiting tutor with whole school leadership and subject specific training experience. Professional development sessions will take place in our purpose built training centre, which includes conference and training rooms.
Teach Northants is a key part of The Duston Education Trust.
About the Trust:-
Knowing the individual is at the heart of our vision. Within The Duston Education Trust (TDET), academies, partners, children, staff and parents know they are part of a trust that cares, builds possibilities and potential, and nurtures what they are and what they can become.
At TDET, we expect the best of everyone. We recognise the transformative poser of self-belief, and our children and staff are happy, confident, resilient and self-critical learners. There are no short cuts and no excuses. We value hard work, determination and ambition, acknowledging and celebrating the variety of ways in which learners can be excellent. We undertake all our work with professionalism, honesty and integrity. A strong moral compass underpins all our work.
